Best Use: Code snippets
Code can be used to insert "embed code". The most common example of embed code is from YouTube when you click the Share button on a video. Of course, for video you are better off using the Media component, but this illustrates the concept. It's a snippet of code that does something special. You might encounter this component on one of your pages if web support services has created an advanced element for you. But here's a simple YouTube embed to illustrate:
